wood cottage is located in Herzliya Pituach, a coastal area situated
about 15 km north of Tel Aviv. Herzliya Pituach is the Mediterranean
side of the city of Herzliya and is considered one of the most exclusive
residential neighborhoods in Israel, home to many of its diplomats.
Beside the high concentration of villas and attached gardens are sandy
beaches and a Marina serving yacht owners from all over the world. The
southern part of Herzliya Pituach is also home to the “Silicon
Coast”, the epicenter of Israel’s high tech industry where
large corporations such as Cisco Systems and Motorola have established
a presence. |

The house is based on a lot size of 750 m2 and is a rare reminder of a past era circa 1936 when the first Jewish pioneers settled in the area, characterized at the time by sand dunes, fig trees and the occasional small vineyard belonging to a small northern Arab village.
